Psychologist and Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader
Lauren has a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) which she completed at Curtin University, Perth; graduating in 2011. She then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Mental Health (Griffith University, 2016) and a Postgraduate Diploma in School Psychology (University of Western Australia, 2019).
Before joining Patches, Lauren worked with school students in an academic consulting role, assisting the child and their parents to identify areas of difficulty at school and working together to develop a plan to target these areas.
Lauren has worked with children with a range of diagnoses and learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability and children referred due to challenging behaviour. One of her fields of speciality is working as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, supporting participants to reduce challenging behaviours and to increase their quality of life. Lauren is also passionate about psychological assessments, and delivering services to those in rural and remote areas.
Lauren began working with Patches in August 2020 and her role takes her all over the Wheatbelt. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, going for long bush walks, and exploring new places.
