Mary-Anne Curtin

South Hedland Therapy Team Leader - Occupational Therapist

Mary-Anne completed a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University; graduating in 2014. Mary-Anne worked at Child Development Services across Perth before joining the Patches team in Port Hedland in March 2019. Mary-Anne has experience working within many multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality client care. Her primary experience is working within paediatrics, delivering assessment and intervention to children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and developmental disabilities within the Hedland community; including the Patches clinic, schools, homes and day-care. Mary-Anne has previously worked with Patches on outreach to Newman, Karratha and remote communities in the east and west Pilbara.

Mary-Anne has completed training in SOS Approach to Feeding, Paediatric Continence, Learn to Play, Motor Dysgraphia Assessment, Functional Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support. Mary-Anne is committed to using person centered and family centered practice, ensuring that participants and their families are at the center of therapy goals and processes. Mary-Anne is passionate about supporting participants and their families living in regional and remote settings to achieve independence in the tasks that are important and unique to them. When she’s not at work, Mary-Anne enjoys camping, fishing and exploring all that the Pilbara has to offer.
