Rosalind Garside

Team Leader & Occupational Therapist

Rosalind has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) and a Graduate Certificate of Assessment and Diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Rosalind worked for the WA Health Department for many years in Community Health and Child Development, especially at the West Perth Child Development Centre, and has also worked in another private clinic focusing on NDIS services. These positions involved seeing a range of ages from 0 -16 years, in earlier positions she has also treated adult clients. She has always worked in multidisciplinary teams and values the benefits of this approach. She has used a range of formal and informal assessments. Intervention has included individual and group programs, sessions in the clinic, schools, daycare and in homes. There was a strong focus on parent education and skill development, and Rosalind ran many parent and teacher education sessions.

Rosalind has worked with clients with a range of diagnoses including Sensory Processing, Developmental Delay, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Eating difficutlies, Developmental coordination Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Ehlers Danlos and FASD and completed professional development in many of these areas.

Rosalind joined Patches in 2020, initially based in the Pilbara. She is now covering the Wheatbelt region of WA.

She enjoys supporting families and problem solving with them to improve their understanding of the challenges which can then lead to improved quality of life.
In her spare time she enjoys classical music concerts, gardening, exploring WA and quilting.
