Sarah has a Bachelor of Social Work which she completed at Curtin University, Perth; graduating in 2018. Sarah has also completed her graduate certificate in Counselling through Edith Cowan University in 2022.
Before joining Patches, Sarah worked for Child Protection in Armadale as a case manager with the aim of assisting families in accessing supports and increasing formal and informal support systems to assist them when children returned home. Sarah has also worked as a Specialist Support Coordinator.
Sarah has worked with children with a range of diagnoses and learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and Intellectual Disability. Sarah also works with children referred due to challenging behaviours, for protective behaviours or for motivation and self-identity work. One of her fields of speciality and passions is working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly around self-esteem and identity.
Sarah began working with Patches in November 2021 works as a FIFO clinician between Hedland and Perth. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, cooking and spending time with her partner and their two cats.
