Provisional Psychologist and Behavioural Practitioner
Thomas is currently a Provisional Psychologist and Behaviour Practitioner at Patches where he has been working since April 2022. Thomas obtained his Honours degree in Psychology at Curtin University in December 2020. For four years during his degree he worked as a community support worker where he supported groups of adolescents, with various disabilities, to gain community awareness and social skills.
Thomas values taking a person-centred approach to his clients. He likes to get to know the clients and how they think and feel about themselves and the world before commencing any therapy. Thomas is currently trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and has a strong background in motivational interviewing. He is exploring other therapeutic techniques to help his clients help themselves in whatever goals they see fit.
Away from psychology, he has a wide range of interests including, but not limited to, sports, art, farming, and board games.
