We are excited to share an update that reflects the growth and evolution of our organisation. For many years, clients, families, and communities have known us simply as Patches or Patches Australia. As our services have expanded and our multidisciplinary teams have grown, our work has become increasingly connected, collaborative, and holistic. Our new name, Patches Integrated Health, represents this journey. It brings our identity in line with the care we already provide every day: coordinated, person-centred support that values the unique needs, strengths, and goals of everyone we work with.
Why the Change?
Patches has had many identities over the course of its history. Originating in Fitzroy Crossing in 2012, Patches drew its name as an acronym for Paediatric Assessment and Therapy Child Health and Education Services.
Since then, Patches has grown as an organisation, with reach across multiple states in Australia. Our role in therapy has expanded to encompass Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology, and Speech Pathology. We also now provide our therapy services across all ages, including the aged care sector. With the introduction of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program in multiple schools, our education services continue to expand.
Patches Integrated Health aligns our identity with the work we are already practising. Our holistic model of care means looking at the whole person – not just a diagnosis. We take a multidisciplinary approach to our services, where our clinicians collaborate closely to provide connect, coordinated support. Our new name reflects this commitment, bringing together expertise to deliver care that is centred around the unique needs of each individual and family.
What’s Changing?
In short: nothing.
Our name may be changing, but everything that matters to your care remains exactly the same. You’ll still see the same clinicians, access the same services, attend the same appointments as usual, and connect with us through the same locations and contact details. This update is simply a refresh of our identity – not a change to how we support you. The only difference you’ll notice is our new name and branding, which better reflects the holistic, multidisciplinary, and integrated care we already provide every day.
